PVC transfer film is a decorative material that utilizes polyvinyl chloride (PVC) film as its base. It transfers the pattern layer onto the surface of the substrate using high-precision printing, vacuum transfer, or laser engraving technology. Subsequently, it is coated with a UV layer or a protective film. The core features of PVC transfer film include precise pattern reproduction, resistance to wear and weather, environmental friendliness, and non-toxicity. It is ideal for surface decoration of furniture, building materials, electronic products, and more, offering an alternative to traditional spray painting and sticker application processes. PVC decorative film is a kind of multifunctional decorative material which uses PVC (polyvinyl chloride) as the base film material.
It is usually produced through complex processes like calendering, compounding and printing. The thickness of PVC decorative film commonly ranges from 0.07 mm to 0.20 mm, or from 130 microns to 350 microns based on different application requirements. It has a wide array of designs, colors and textures, being able to imitate natural materials such as wood, marble and fabric.
PVC decorative film has many characteristics. It is highly durable, showing great resistance to wear, scratches and tear. It is waterproof inherently, making it suitable for moisture-prone environments such as kitchens and bathrooms. Moreover, it is easy to maintain, which only requires a damp cloth or a mild cleaning agent for wiping. In addition, many PVC decorative films have properties including being resistant to yellowing, cold-resistant, antibacterial and weather-resistant.
This kind of decorative film can be extensively applied to the surfaces of MDF, wood, aluminum and stainless steel. It is often used in furniture, kitchen cabinets, doors, windows, wall decals, ceilings and flooring, and it can be processed by means of membrane vacuum press, lamination and wrap technologies.
